Okay...so I found a dentist that is both recommended AND (very important) on the insurance. This was harder than I thought it was going to be. My appointment is on Tuesday, which may seem like a far away time, but the tooth isn't causing any pain (besides my tongue rubbing up against its jaggedness) and it's not heat/cold sensitive. So, I'll deal.
It is what it is and I've warned them about my anxiety, which is actually better (I hope!) than when I last went to the dentist.
What, you ask, is the anxiety? Well, besides having heart pounding fear of actually going into the office and wanting to burst into tears just thinking about it (kinda like right now), the sound and smell (especially the smell!) are horrific. This dentist that I found has a tv for viewing and that will help. That's how I got through last time. ANYTHING to distract. Last night, I kept having dental nightmares. If my past is any indication, this will continue until after my appointment. How weird and bizarre if that. UGH.
Anyway, I'll let you know how it goes.
