Clearly...I am no Pioneer Woman

Wow. Just checked the ol' Giveaway, and a whopping ONE PERSON has responded (bless you, have saved my fragile ego from complete obliteration).

I did one of those "respond to enter" contests for Pioneer Woman, and guess what? By the time I entered, she had like 19000 entries (one per person...can you imagine?). She even had a timed deadline which was hours away from when I entered my one little comment about my favorite dessert. Of course, she was giving away a couple Kitchen Aid blenders, so that's something I guess. There are some days I'm ready to give mine away, but since it's almost at Death's Door, it wouldn't be much of a prize.

But Really. Ohhhhhh, Gentle Reader. Are you that fearful of some homemade goodness from yours truly (and let's be honest, we all know that I'll probably be cooking something, so that takes some of the "what will she make for me?" out of the question, as I have no skills with sewing, knitting, crocheting, decoupage, reupholstering, canning, and a myriad of other things I am no good at)? Are you worried that you won't receive it within A YEARS TIME??? I promise you, I'll make good on it. I have a YEAR to do it, though sooner is better than later for everyone. That's a time frame that I feel pretty good about.

Or, perhaps, you don't want to be responsible for homemade goodies for five people who respond to your blog (or, sadly, may NOT respond).

*sniff* *sniff*

Not even my own sister????

(is anyone feeling the guilt yet? Cause all I wanted to do was spread the love).

I'll just try to reframe this in my mind of conversations...I'll imagine you all saying, "Geez!!! I was totally away from my computer ALL DAY! And while you may have seen me on, that wasn't really me. It was someone else. Really."

Yes, I am starting to feel better all ready.

The things I do to get through the day.

ps. Just to save myself the utter embarrassment of this thing I've now committed to and whined about, I'm "closing" the contest tomorrow at noon, Central Time.

This is the first chance I've had to just sit at the computer for days it seems. I am feeling very guilty about not responding to your contest. Is it too Late?

I only got one, too, and you had already signed up at Laura's! All those bloggy friends we thought we had...I guess they all vanished! And I thought we had passed on such a great idea. sigh. we'll just be friendless together, okay?

Dude, I am so out of it. Sorry. I didn't think I was so behind, but here I am offending AGAIN! I'm so good at this, right? Um, even if I HAD read it, I seriously would've thought "I don't want to put you out". So there you have it. I don't want to put you out. Because we all know you have mad skills. But you're also just coming back to us in the land of the living, so....yeah. No putting of L's out. :)

You just crack me up! I can totally see you saying exactly what you just typed here! :) Sorry I didn't respond quick enough. I would love anything from you! :) After all, we did go on a group date together and let me be honest...that put a very good taste in my mouth of the Columbia Singles Ward! :)

I apparently missed something...

Uhm. I'm sorry. *weeps* *guilt*

But not too sorry. It's been dang busy in Katrinaland.

What did I miss. I scoped something about recipes. Want one? I got a bunch. :)

I've been a slacker on my blog reading - but now I feel totally guilty, I'm so sorry.
