For Lent

So, I was pondering with my friend, Cryptic Jennifer, about Mardi Gras and Lent (which starts today), and began taking under consideration the possibility of participating with our Catholic friends in this season of sacrifice.  Although I am not Catholic (and thus not compelled by any religious motives), I like the idea of doing something to commemorate this important Easter season. 

I finally decided what I wanted to do is to, instead of posting personal Facebook Statuses, I'd actually do it on my blog!  I'm not sure if this is much of a sacrifice, as I often just lurk on Facebook, but I really enjoyed this idea because it means I will be doing both my Non-New Years Resolution AND something for Lent (no offense, my Catholic friends).  And, my ego will be humbled a bit because no one will necessarily be "liking" me immediately or commenting immediately, but I can still have that contact with others.  It's a win/win.

So, prepare for short update status checks, Gentle Reader.  It's more than has been happening for MONTHS here at the Zoo, and I'm actually excited by the idea.
