It's Friday and You Know What That Means...

Did you walk? Did you make time for yourself this week? I did! Hooray if you did, too! And if you kinda did or are planning on doing that next week! Yay! I'm so proud of you!!!! Let's report in the comment section!

So, the number of people who are interested in running the 5K in October has grown...quite a bit. I'm not sure how many of you are on a training schedule with me, or want to check in, but I'm trying to figure out if we need a separate blog for all us walkers/runners where we could all post, etc. I've even had a suggestion that we could all post "before" pictures, later to have "after" pictures when we reach our first goal. Is that of interest to anyone? It'd probably be one of those invitation only blogs so we could just talk freely including the where/when/who's of things, but I'm wondering if that's even worth the time to do. Any thoughts? Let's leave them in the comment section.

And next week, we bump up our walk time by 5 minutes! (so I guess that'd be 15-16 min for me).

See you in the comment section!

I walked and even jogged a little today for my 11 minutes. Wahoo!

I like the idea of posting (or at least taking!) a "before" picture and I'd even post my own here at the Zoo, but I am also definitely not opposed to getting a blog going to help with our running to get things started, though it would be one more blog to work on. That being said, if we all were a part of it, it wouldn't be too bad. Or if someone else wanted to start it up, that'd be fine, too.

My goal is, of course, to make exercise a permanent thing so the 5k in October is just the first goal of many more to come, so I'll still keep updating on Fridays here at the Zoo.

In any case, let's hear what you think! I'm so glad that so many are joining this journey though!!!

It's still morning here, so I haven't walked yet (we're going to the park this afternoon, though.) I think a Running Ladies blog would be nice. We could always invite other people as needed in the future. I think it would be great to have a little community to be a part of. I'll finish my walking report at the end of the day!

Yes, I'm making time to walk/jog!
Yippee-ki-yay!
I am already feeling better. Doing 25 mins consistantly now. Getting in a bit over a mile each time. Last week MWF worked good for me, this week TThSat, so I will finish it up tomorrow!!! I really like having to be accountable, it helps with motivation. So, a seperate site would be great. And, I don't mind helping with that. I'm so glad there are so many interested. It will make this journey that much more fun.
Will comment when I finish my walk on Sat.
(Need that motivation)
Thanks for such a great idea L.
Enjoy your day!

I walked yesterday at the park in my new triple stroller (that should count X3...cause that think is hard to push up a hill!)...
Like I said before, I'm not at a point that I could get out to walk (too many babies, and I don't have a treadmill...)but you should name your running blog something cute. A friend of mine's husband is a runner. His blog is called "will run for doughnuts"...quite clever. As soon as one kid can walk to the car comfortably, I'll drive to the track and walk...Promise!

That's a good one Shari...do you know Trienke's best friend Erin? Her husbands weight loss blog is...

"I'm Bringin' Sexy Back....Slowly"

Hey, and good job on getting out today!

As you know, Laurenda, I have walked on Monday and Wednesday for 15 mins. and will walk tomorrow morning for 15 mins. I promise! Next week I plan to do 20-25 mins. Thanks for spear heading this whole thing. Without your leadership, I'd still be talking about doing it. Man I wish that would burn calories!

Ladies, I'm so excited about how well everyone had done this first week! Wahoo!! And Shari, YAY! for getting out. :)

Okay, let's think about a name for the blog and once we get it firmed up, we'll get the blog going and invite as people want to come aboard.

Whew! It is definitely harder to exercise past seven at night on a Saturday, but it is done.

Ideas on name:
Reflections
Hot Mamas
Forever Fitness
Army of Hela-woman

HA, nothing serious. Just trying to get the ideas a rolling...

I have to admit - this week was kind of a bust for me. However, tomorrow is a new week with a new chance NOT to fail!
