Congratulations, President-elect Obama

The race is over. History has been made. And now all those commercials will be gone from my tv and radio. WHEW!

I'm copying/pasting from one of my favorite blogs: The Anchoress. She's very insightful and I really enjoy reading her commentaries. And as for tonight's results, I don't think I could have summed this up better myself.

"Well, all I can say is if PA stands, then I’m exceedingly disappointed that the press did not get the well-deserved boot in the ass they deserved, but I’ll pray for Obama in the same way that I pray for President Bush, that he be guided and granted wisdom. Don’t knock it. It is in our best interests to pray that God guides and helps our president. Even believing, as I do, that the press’ dishonesty and some fraudulent machinations played a part in his win, I have no intention of spending the next 4 to 8 years wallowing in the pit of hate, spite, malice and venom that so many on the left have been swimming in, and so I will begin tonight - right now - to do what none of the haters on the left were ever able to do for Bush: give Obama a chance. Just as soon as I am convinced that PA actually went to him. The press, however, that’s another story."

That did pretty well sum it up for me too!

You've saved me a day of angry, bitter feelings. And, yes, I CAN be a better person than those "haters." I hope.

And, FYI, I have GOT to get out of the newspaper industry. Yes, I only train them on computer software, but the "press" disgusts me. What ever happened to the idea that the press should be balanced, accurate and dispassionate?
