In Awe

I've been enjoying reading some of my friend's blogs and just had an emotional epiphany and thought, I just gotta comment on how blessed I am to know these incredible women, these friends of mine...both online and off, in the "real" world.  I mean, seriously incredible people who have made such an impact on my life.  It simply strikes my heart with tender emotions that almost cannot be contained.

So, I've been reading these vignettes about moments in their lives, and I think, that would bring me to my knees with crushing blows, and I don't know how they manage, but they do.  But I see you, my friends--you may not know it, but I see you:   You who are needing/wanting a new job, or traveling to exotic lands (or kinda plain states) and making the best out of life with pictures to prove it!, or waiting for that dang new house to be FINISHED ALREADY!, or who are so sick with "morning" sickness which never leaves all freakin' pregnancy long and yet remain very very stoic and upbeat, or who have sick babies and can do nothing but let time and God work miracles, and single friends who still believe, and married friends who's marriages are in a very scary place right now, and friends TTC, and friends who just had new babies and are so sleep deprived, and friends doing Girls' Camp and SURVIVING.  Ugh!  and it goes on and on!

I read about you and see you at church or at lunch or just out and about and there you are....out and about.  Helloooooo Wonder Women.  How the heck do you do it???  Because see me with my trivial problems?  Yeah, I don't even want to shower, much less contemplate leaving my house.  I mean I do, because someone has to buy the milk and Eggo waffles and stuff, but yowza.

You inspire me.  Even with the tempest raging, you inspire.

So hang in there and let me know if I can take your kids for the afternoon or eat some ice cream with you or in your honor, or go to a movie (they are giving away very solidly pleasing plastic commemorative Eclipse cups right now at the Big Theatre, and how can that not make you feel better, I just have to ask?), or chat, or whatevs.  But mostly just thank you for sharing your experiences with me, because you make me a better person knowing you.

I agree, that is why I read your blog! Your are one of those women I am in awe over, wondering sometimes when I'm exhausted "How does Laurenda do it!"

I so wish we could get together for ice cream, and I REALLY miss having you around the corner and your willingness to watch my kids. Love you Miss L!
