Friday Funny

Ugh, I'm totally recovering from one of those terrible dreams where you are arguing with your spouse and then you have to wake up for the real day and be all happy with him. Bless his heart. Plus, well, I won't go into other details, but the rest of the dream was chuck full of weirdness, too. This is what happens when you are in R.E.M. and your baby wakes you up. Your brain isn't done processing whatever it's processing in that particular moment and you get all these freaky dreams you actually remember. Oh well.

So, in light of that and the fact that I feel practically comatose, here's something that totally made me and Miss A laugh--especially the double fountain (watch, you'll see what I mean)...and just so you know, none of the dads is Super J because he is super and, thank heavens, nothing like the weirdness in my dreams. Whew!

Enjoy!

Rockin' Around the Clock

Hello!
I'm writing for Mom today because she is so tired. I kept her up alot last night because I've been sick with a double ear infection. Of course, we didn't know that until yesterday, but I've probably had it for a while. Mom just thought I was teething, which I am doing and I'm drooling a lot, and I was sick with a cold and Mom and Daddy were taking good care of me, but it eventually turned into a bacterial infection. Mom finally figured that out because my eyes were starting to get really yucky with yellow goo coming out of them, just like when my tear ducts weren't open, and I told mom that it hurt to nurse by shrieking in my especially loudest and shrillest and longest cries. So, yeah, she finally figured out something was wrong and took me to the Urgent Care (I like not showing symptoms until after my pediatricians office is nice and closed). Mom actually really liked the nurse practitioner who saw me and even wished she was in my ped's practice. Oh well. She told Mom that alot of adults who are sick like me in my ears are like, "Get me a morphine drip!" so she said if I didn't feel good, it was with good reason. I already knew that. So, whew. I got my first antibiotics in me last night. I know eventually I'll start feeling better, but it hadn't really done much around 3 in the morning when I decided to get up, screaming, because I didn't like my ears hurting like they were when I laid down. Poor Mom. I just wasn't happy no matter how she held me. I finally started feeling better when she remembered some numbing drops that the doctor had prescribed for my sister Oli...oh, I mean, Miss O. And then I got some more Tylenol and some more Vic's smeared on my chest. It's kind of gross at first, but I feel better soon after that. Of course, then Mom attacked me with some saline drops in my nose and I didn't like that at all. I like that blue rubber suction ball thing even less. It's so weird having all this gunk getting sucked out of my nose. But I felt better afterwards. I even nursed and then started falling asleep. That was around 6:15. But then Abi...I mean, Miss A got up and came downstairs. I hate it when Mom starts talking when she's supposed to be putting me to sleep. She's supposed to just be quiet and watch "West Wing." I love listening to the music and the people talking. It is soothing to me. I listen to a lot of "West Wing," even though I don't know what's going on. ANYWAY. Miss A told Mom that she just couldn't get to sleep because she had a little nap in the car on the way home from the doctor. Mom thought that was pretty funny, because Miss A had gone to bed about 9 hours earlier, and said something like, "Yes. We call that sleeping through the night." Sometimes Mom gets grumpy because she doesn't get to sleep like that. If she gets to nap with me, though, she does better. So, she let Miss A stay up and went and got Daddy and gave me to him. I love my Daddy. He carries me around alot. I don't know what Mom did after that because she went back to bed and I watched Fox News with Daddy and I eventually fell asleep.
I woke up in my crib and have been having a pretty happy morning ever since. My ears still bug me and I'm still goopy in my eyes, but not as bad as yesterday. Hooray! Well, I'm getting hungry again. I better start crying to let Mom know she needs to feed me. Bye!
