Some Christmas Pics

For all of the Grandparents for Christmas, I created a special blog where I'm putting video and pictures, etc., for a whole year so they can see the kids as they are growing and changing. So, I actually am going to be posting more pictures here because I figure, if I'm doing it for one blog, why reinvent the wheel for the other! With that in mind, here are some from Christmas...

Here are the girls waiting to open presents (Miss Q was sleeping, so she's not in the picture)

And here they are opening packages (see the bins in the background? Super J had the idea to use them to put all their stuff in, which was a great way to keep the chaos contained a wee bit...and every bit helps).

Here's Miss E and Miss O (in her bonnet! My dad and stepmom sent all the girls these bonnets, kind of as a nod to the Trip to Nauvoo where, I think, the older girls met their frenemies for the first time and brought them home as a birthday gift for Miss Q) on a sled Santa gave them. Of course, we have no snow, but that might change. Also of note, check out Miss O's groovy pink princess dress. Ohhhhhh yes, everyone got some dress-up clothes, but guess who loved hers lots and lots and lots. So much so that she's already broken or lost some of the stuff. Ahhhhh yes indeed. A Christmas tradition here at the Zoo.

After a long fun filled day, here are the girls after their showers in their new Christmas pajamas. And look! There's Miss Q. Unfortunately, she was NOT happy at the time (I think it was just before bedtime for her and she was not excited to be sitting, getting her picture taken). We kept trying to get good pictures, but some where better than others. I wanted to post them all because they were so cute. So, picture #1:

picture #2 (you can tell they are saying "CHEESE!"):

picture #3 (more "Cheese"):

and last but not least, picture #4 (where everyone seemed to be losing interest in the photo session):

So adorable! We did matching Cars jammies this year, but since we do it the night before (so they have something to open Christmas Eve) and we got in so late, thanks to the delay in Denver, AJ woke up Christmas morning and said, "I didn't even know I had these on!" Apparently he was really asleep while we wrestled him into them. And, I totally love the bins idea. Hope you had a fantastic Christmas, and thanks again for the traffic info, and the very generous offer to stay at your place. Love you!

I had to laugh about Miss O loving her stuff so much that it's already getting "favorite stuff" hallmarks. It reminded me of Annie, who has already loved the leg off of a doll she got for Christmas.

It was funny that you commented what you did yesterday because I was looking at your blog thinking the same thing....I'm just not so great about actually posting lately. Anyway, it is good to "see" all of your girlies. It's crazy to think that you were pregnant with Miss O the last time I saw you, and now you have another one.

Love the pictures of all your girls. I can't believe you have 4 girls! That's a whole lotta estrogen up in that house. Should be interesting when they're all teenagers. Did you put their stocking stuff in bins? If so, what a great idea!
